Indiegogo.com Campaign

Kitsap Forest & Bay Coalition launched a second Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to fill the funding gap for purchasing Grovers Creek Preserve, the third acquisition for the Kitsap Forest & Bay Project.

Grovers Creek Preserve is the jewel at the center of the Kitsap Forest & Bay Project a place of old growth trees and a vital link in the Sound to Olympics Trail.

With your help, we can protect these 270 acres. Just $25,000 separates us from our goal of conserving Grovers Creek Preserve forever! By making a donation through our crowdfunding campaign, you can be part of conserving this beautiful place and all the outdoor recreation it supports. Please make a donation at igg.me/at/SaveGroversCreek.

YOU can make a difference

We've raised more than $1.8 million toward this purchase. Now we need YOUR help to raise the last $25,000! Any funds raised beyond our goal will help purchase additional land in the Kitsap Forest & Bay Project. Our campaign ends Friday, May 29. Donate TODAY. Thank you!

Indiegogo.com Campaign

Kitsap Forest & Bay Coalition launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign Friday, January 17 to fill the funding gap for purchasing the first 535 acres of forest and beach on Port Gamble Bay.

In just 48 hours, our community met our $8,000 goal!  Thanks to those generous donations and a generous donation from Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, the coalition now has reached our $4.6 million goal to purchase the 535 acres.  All additional funds raised will help purchase additional land in the Port Gamble forest!

With your help, the purchase of the Port Gamble Bay Shoreline block–the first phase of our visionary 6,700 acre Kitsap Forest & Bay Project–will be completed in a few short weeks!  With that accomplished, we'll continue right on and purchase the land and trails in the Port Gamble Forest, North Kitsap Heritage Park Expansion, Divide Forest (Govers Creek) and Hansville Forest.

Thank you to all who made a contribution to the campaign or who supported the project in other ways.  Our joint success sets the stage for our continued effort to consrve the remaining 6,000 acres of Kitsap Forest & Bay Project lands.

Show Up and Be Counted!

Throughout the summer, we’re asking Kitsap trail users to show up and be counted! While you’re out on the trails—whether hiking, biking, horseback riding, or just enjoying some fresh air—snap a picture and post it to our Facebook page to show why you support the Project. We’ll feature your pictures on Facebook and on our website. In addition, simply by taking a picture, you’ll help to show potential donors how important this Project is for the health and vitality of Kitsap County and its community trails!
